Absolutely.
Considering the league was at the Jets' facility watching them in the days leading up to Revis being released, I highly doubt the Jets would have even had the opportunity to tamper if they wanted.
And there is still no league investigation into whether the Pats were in secret contact with Blount when he was still with the Steelers.
The funny thing is..in the next year or so..when Brady loses it even more and Belichick leaves..all the arrogant, "holier than thou", do no wrong patriot cultists patriot fans will scatter like when the light goes on like the cockraoches they are to be hidden again

Obviously one eye's lawyers had been in contact with Hernandez to settle before filing and the Pats had probably gotten wind also. The murder didn't happen until the end of that week... and then the media noticed the civil suit filing.

Wow I'm surprised you could even type without your head exploding. Where in the rules on tampering does it make an exception for speaking in past tense, like announcing to the world all of the great players under contract with other teams that you wish you had drafted? Can a GM get on his soapbox and proclaim his love for Aaron Rodgers and how he wishes he had drafted him when he had the chance? Really, because the way I read the rules, if you are openly expressing your affection for players under contract with other teams, present tense, past tense or any other tense, you need to pour yourself a giant cup of STFU!!!
Where does it say you can openly pine for players who are under contract with other teams, so long as you cleverly qualify your remarks in the context of speaking as a fan, never mind that you are anything but and you own the team?
Where does it make an exception if the player has two or more years on his contract, because I've heard that bullshit being floated too, so where exactly can I find that exception in the NFL bylaws?

Both of these cases are "strict letter of the law violations", but only a dooshbag would escalate them to actually file tampering charges, because its clear there was no malicious intent, EITHER WAY, but when Dooshbag A can't accept your apology like a man and move on, and instead files tampering charges like a dooshbag, then the other party is left with no choice but to do likewise, he would be a sucker if he didn't.
Now if I were the commish I would tell Dooshbag A to go pour himself another scotch and take a chill pill, there's no tampering here, it was a slip of the tongue from a fellow owner with no malicious intent, so accept the mans apology and lets move along ... in which case there would have been no impetus for Woody to play tit-for-tat and this nonsense would have been put to rest a long time ago.
