I don't buy the 3 year nonsense. Plenty of Jets fans have lambasted their picks at the time of the draft and were proven very right to feel that way. Heck, that happened as recently as last year. Conversely, I (and many others) picked out teams we thought did well last year and were right on the money.
You generally have an idea if your team made smart choices with what they had to choose from. Nothing is 100% but, in general, you have a decent idea.
I'm not going to sit here and predict the next O'dell Beckham, but the teams that got better last weekend:
The Browns (watch people cursing at the screen for letting a faster version of Giovanni Bernard slip to round 3)
The Bears (Goldman and White are both potential future all-pros)
The Rams (Todd Gurley and 4 good OL were added to a team that already have Tre Mason and Cam Robinson. Fisher got his Eddie George and potentially dominant OL, couple that with a very good D, and they are what the 49ers were just two years ago)
The Jets (how can you argue they didn't improve?)
