Wow, just read the Cowboys have an Inperson meeting with Collins lined up in Dallas. Putting Collins beside Martin would give the Boys the top two young olinemen in the draft 2 years in a row. It may not be the Aikman oline, but it's a nice start to putting one together.

Agreed. I did not understand why the league refused the request. It was perfectly proper to request to go supplemental. That's what the supplemental draft is for.

OK, it's not necessarily for guys who are being questioned in a murder, but it's for guys who are coming out into the draft but may not be ready or eligible to be drafted during the regular draft.

Agreed. I was sure that was the direction he was going. Too bad. Now he likely goes to the highest bidder. I wish we were in on it because I think he's going to be a stud and would be an excelent short term improvement from breno and long term replacement for Brick.

I just read that he skipped a meeting he had with Miami too. Looks like we dodged a bullet.

We should have locked him up by using one of our 3 7th round picks on him. He was one of the highest ranked LT's in the draft. If we drafted him, I think we'd own the rights to him for a year, so why not. Worth the risk for me.

For what it's worth, Collins agent let it be known that he was interested in going to a contender only. So we can bang our heads into the wall over what might've been, but Collins might not have come here regardless.

Damn, Damn, Damn! We could have used him a lot more then the Cowboys but oh well. If the reports are true that he only wanted to play for a contender then he may not have entertained us if they did reach out to him. At least not from what we have shown over the past couple of years anyway.

whoa...IMO, oline is our biggest weakness after QB...guess you have more confidence in Breno at RT than I do...

All I know is he pancaked Fowler multiple times while playing OT for LSU. If we dont need to improve and get younger on the oline....then I'm the husband of Erin Andrews; wait a minute, I am her husband.
