I heard that ! ! Big Moe got to you didn't he. Well.........as it happens I agree too. I've given it some thought, which doesn't mean I've figured it out. I have looked at the various QB rankings and most of them have Rogers at middle of the pack, but improving as he plays. I had figured before the season started that Rogers didn't need to be the Rogers of the past. I figured that with our top 5 defense and a decent "O" line he only needed to be average to win a lot of games. The "O" line has struggled but is actually getting better. The problem REALLY IS that our top 5 defense has shit the bed and become a bottom 5 defense. If the defense was playing as well as it did last season the Jets would have won several more games than they have including this last one. The defense CLEARLY lost this game. SO...............I'm of the mindset that Rogers should be given another year with him mentoring Travis and keeping Taylor who is still under contract for 2025. I see no vets that will be available that I trust more than Rogers, not even Darnold who has played well over all behind an excellent "O" line but has been erratic. Geno Smith has played well but he has also made it clear that he will never play for the Jets again. We are not going to get a better QB than Travis in the draft. Just a gut feeling.
