I've always liked Rex, but I'm not sure it would work. The Jets are a bigger clown show now than any other time in their history and that saying a lot. Rex probably won't fix that. He might actually add fuel to the fire.

I agree. The other side of that coin is that Rex will draw the scrutiny away from Rodgers and Co so they can just play.
His act would wear thin, as it did before but it might just be enough for this simple minded bunch of Prima Donna's on this Team.
So we hire Rex for one season.
Looks like the SMU QB is a future Jet as well.
Well...........I know of 3 that have already said they would take the job..........Rex, of course, Arthur Smith ,OC of the Steelers, and Mike Vrabel. Rex probably won't have much of a chance of getting the job. Odds are pretty good for Smith and very good for Vrabel. I love Rex's personality but wouldn't want him back as coach. I would be good with either of the other 2 I think. I know for sure from what other players have said that Vrabel holds his players accountable and takes action if they don't get it together. That's one thing we all agree on that this team needs.
If they said they’d coach here, they are either:
1. lying or
2. hoping to get an interview here so they can use it to drive up their price somewhere else or
3. They are totally f ing loony tunes

I'm watching my recording of BYU blowing out Colorado and I can't see why analysts feel that two players from a team ranked #23 with a schedule which doesn't include many big schools should be in the top three of the draft. Sanders in particular could be the next Zach Wilson. Hopefully this is a mistake the Jets won't get a chance to make.
I don't want Cam Ward either. At least Sanders played in a meaningless bowl game when getting throttled. Cam Ward showed me all I need to know about him by playing the first half to set a record and then not playing second half and the Canes lost by 1. I don't want a QB like that.
Haven't watched him a ton, but never been impressed. So the Jets will draft him with the 3rd pick.
Rogers will not retire after the season, but he will leave and go to another team. He will then take that team to the playoffs. Not saying they will make much noise, but they will at least be there. Regardless of the outcome, having made the playoffs, he will then retire...

Does he get his 500th as a ny jet? Do they stop the game does it make the 2024 jets highlight film? Does he thank Woody for his highlight of his career
It doesn't matter. Jets aren't making the playoffs anytime soon. Rodgers can't compete with any of the QB's in the AFC.
I don't blame you. It's clear he doesn't deal well with pressure. If he can't handle it at the college level what would he be like in the NFL pond ?
Not if he plays like he has this year. He can no longer win a game all by himself. Now if you are saying he will go somewhere and make this playoffs because it's the Jets luck then that could happen.
I don't care if he goes to the playoffs somewhere else as long as the Jets are taking steps back towards credibility.
