These guys are obviously in the dump Rogers category. I see their point up to a point. There are other groups that feel just the opposite. I get their reasons as well. It's a precarious situation for sure. You are probably not a Coon Cat fan like Bigmoe but the cat feels this way.........There are NOT any QBs going to be available in free agency, and please don't say Sam Darnold because he obviously still cannot handle pressure games, or the draft, that are better starters than Rogers. There just are not any. The cat thinks based on comments made by both Glenn and Mougey that Rogers, if he wants to, will be back at least to start the 2025 season......providing..... he agrees to play within the guide lines that the coaches set.

P.S. No you can't shoot the Coon Cat. That's considered animal cruelty and would also make Bigmoe very upset.

If you think the Jets are going to win the SB in 2025 that argument holds water. But Rodgers offers nothing beyond that and if we bring him back the $63 million cap hit in 2026 means we are going to say goodbye to some of our young talent. I have difficulty imagining him agreeing to do what he is told by a rookie OC.

Valid points to be sure. Rogers is going to retire soon, my opinion. I don't think he wants his last season in the NFL to look as bad as this one was. I think he would like a chance to redeem himself and he has alluded to that in a couple of interviews, and, has said he would be glad to mentor his replacement here. I do think he is ready to work with this Rookie Head Coach. I'm sure that Glenn isn't really expecting to win a super bowl this season but I'm also sure he doesn't want or expect to have a losing season. He needs an experienced starter to get the ball rolling with the team learning another new system. He has said he's willing to consider Rogers for the spot. He has said he is talking to him. If he was going to dump him why bother ? I should point out that I'm not cheering for Rogers here. I'm just trying to see and understand our new staff's options and give them the opportunity to do what no other staff has succeeded to do in a hell of a long time and hoping they succeed.

And yes I think with the injured year under his belt with proper coaching this roster can make the playoffs .

There is one upside to letting him go. They won't laugh at us anymore if we lose without Rodgers.....in the way we want to go with him we risk a three peat .......but the opposite of KC
