Julius Thomas - TE - Broncos
According to the player rep for free agent Julius Thomas, Thomas' late-season ankle injury was later diagnosed as torn ligaments.
It wasn't just a high ankle sprain that cost Thomas time and robbed him of his late-season explosion. When Julius' father felt his son's toughness was being questioned, Greg Thomas allegedly used Twitter to lash out at the Broncos, Peyton Manning, GM John Elway, and the team's contract proposals. Per the Denver Post, the sides "seem to be headed their separate ways."

According to Tony Pauline, the Jets are going to be in on Seahawks offensive lineman James Carpenter. He'll be 26 this year with hopefully his best football still ahead of him. That's the type of free agent that I'm interested in.

I agree, we won't be able to throw stupid money @ Lupati, so a kid like Carpenter might be an option. I'd still would have liked Rex to bench Colon @ the end of last season, to see what we have with Dozier @ RG before jumping into free agency. It took an injury to Winters, to realize what we had in Aboushi LG.

Have you seen a picture of this guy? Mountain of a man. Current 25 years old, 6'5 325lbs and wears #77 for Seattle. He looks more like a nightmare than an OG.

LOL, No I know nothing about him. Was he the huge kid with long hair ? Some team is going to over pay for Lupati who is an average pass blocker. I have not given up on Winters yet either. We need QB, OLB, CB, FS, MLB before a new RG.

He sure looks like a road grader type guard

When I saw him I felt he would be a perfect replacement for Colon if its a fit for Gaily. He seems like a fit if handing off to Ivory and Spiller all game is the plan...:smiley-transport014

I think that's a good choice with our current QB situation. He's also young, gotta like that.

I was looking for #77 from your post above ! Big Dude, no doubt.

Go Jets...Cyborg

I mixed up the numbers, sorry about that. Either way, for being 25 in those pictures, he's a mountain of a man. If we sign him, I'd believe we're still going to have a lot of smash mouth football ahead. He's the exact type of olineman Ivory/Lynch would run behind.

Nice find that we're interested in him, targeting this age olineman says a lot for our long term stability on the oline. It would seem he could become a fixture for 5-6 years easy.

Not sure if this has been posted but it's being reported that the Hawks and Beast Mode have a deal in place or at least have agreed on the basic terms

I guess he doesn't have those two filth bags Schwartz and Feinslob handling his deals

Jahri Evans - G - Saints
RG Jahri Evans faces an uncertain future with the Saints.
Evans, the Saints' starting right guard for the last nine seasons and a four-time first-team All-Pro, carries a $9.6M cap number in 2015. The cap-strapped Saints can't afford that number in addition to the $9.6M cap hit of left guard Ben Grubbs. So they are talking to Evans about a restructure as the threat of an outright cut looms.

For years, fantasy owners have generally glossed over the Buffalo Bills when seeking a quality tight end option, because the Bills O has rarely focused on the position.

Things could change in 2015, under the new leadership of the Bills.

"[T]he Bills are expected to stick with their tight-end acquisition plan [in 2015] largely because, in the words of General Manager Doug Whaley, new offensive coordinator Greg Roman is 'a big tight end guy,'" wrote Vic Carruci of the Buffalo News.

"How will they go about getting one? The first option is the free-agent market, which opens March 10. The Bills are known to be taking a hard look at one possible free agent from the AFC East, Charles Clay of the Miami Dolphins."

Clay probably will be a more affordable option than other free-agent tight ends like Julius Thomas and Jordan Cameron.

If the Bills target the position via the draft, they won't be in line for the elite options like Maxx Williams, because they don't pick until No. 50 after giving up their first-rounder to land Sammy Watkins last year.

Jared Odrick - DL - Dolphins
According to the Palm Beach Post, there's a "growing belief" free agent DT Jared Odrick will test the open market.
The Dolphins are trying to re-sign Odrick, quite possibly their No. 1 priority in free agency. But as a scheme-versatile 27-year-old that can get after the quarterback from the interior, there's going to be plenty of interest come March. Odrick's market will get even hotter if interior linemen like Ndamukong Suh and Terrance Knighton re-sign with their respective clubs.

Charles Clay - TE - Dolphins
A source tells the Palm Beach Post it would be "very surprising" if free agent TE Charles Clay isn't back with the Dolphins in 2015.
Clay has been a versatile and reliable asset for the Dolphins over the last two seasons, catching 127 passes for 1,364 yards and nine touchdowns during that span. The Post suggests Sunday's rumor that the division-rival Bills are "taking a hard look" at Clay could be a ploy to raise his asking price. Clay is our No. 3 free agent tight end, behind only Julius Thomas and Jordan Cameron.

Chris Culliver somehow emerges as a top potential free-agent cornerback

Before, during, and after 21 coach and G.M. interviews at the Scouting Combine for PFT Live on NBC Sports Radio and Pro Football Talk on NBCSN, it’s easy to pick up a few tidbits about a few things.

Here’s a tidbit many may see as a surprise: There could be a very significant market for 49ers cornerback Chris Culliver.

A third-round pick in 2011, Culliver perhaps made the biggest headline of his career when talking about homosexual players prior to Super Bowl XLVII in New Orleans. He also made an even more unfortunate headline during the 2014 offseason, following an auto accident with a bicycle and the alleged use of brass knuckles to threaten a 15-year-old witness who tried to keep Culliver leaving the scene. Culliver has since been sued for the behavior. (In between those two events was an Instagram misadventure that resulted in the 49ers handling the situation internally.)

Culliver started 14 regular-season games in 2014, snaring four interceptions and 14 passes defensed. He missed all of the 2013 season with a torn ACL.

Culliver has landed at No. 45 on the PFT Free Agent Hot 100, but the chatter suggests maybe he should be higher. Given the obsession over off-field issues that threatens to damage the draft stock of incoming rookies, it’s hard to imagine Culliver cashing in as a free agent. But with the ongoing proliferation of the passing game, guys who can cover pass catchers will continue to be at a premium, with or without the brass knuckles.

Somehow, Culliver has escaped the NFL’s newfound affinity for paid leave when players are merely accused of violent crime. Any team that signs Culliver needs to be confident not only that they won’t end up paying Culliver to not play until his pending legal charges are resolved, but also that Culliver won’t be suspended without pay, eventually.
