Last years draft

Who from last years draft could make this team and have an impact? I really liked the IK guy, thought he had some speed and athleticism, even had two pass defends against the Titans last season. What about Evans? Enuwa? Will Reilly and George make the team?

George plays for someone else. I think Pryor will be a top starting safety with Bowles coaching. Amaro, IK, Evans and McDougle should all be regulars and make a contribution this season

Not confident about the others but Reilly has already showed some promise as a STer

I'm also hopeful about the 4 you mentioned behind Pryor, but would add Dozier as a guy who might step up after his red-shirt year as Oday did this season.

I love IK. I hope the new coaching staff gives the kid a chance. He is violence personified on the field and an absolute beast with tremendous upper and lower body strength. I love watching that kid play.

IK, Amaro, and Pryor I think will be the 3 players that stick from last year's 12 pick draft. I also hope Dozier sticks, but haven't seen enough to tell if he's more like Aboushi or winters (I like Aboushi).

Ikemefuna Enempal is going to be an enigma for Todd Bowles .....he is to small for today's 3-4 DE and not a real good fit as an edge rushing OLB... he is listed at 6'1' but is really about 5'11" (when you see him right in front of you ) .....he is a tough and physical player but has no position.... lets see how Bowles uses him in preseason.

I don't think it's fair to give up on McDougle until we see the injury bug continue . . .

The steal of the draft last year is Trevor Reilly OLB 6'5"/230 from Utah in the 7th round (233). He was projected as a 3rd round pick, but because of his Mormon Mission, teams passed on this 26 year old rookie. He was excellent on ST and I really hope the new regime give him a shot.

Pryor was a bad pick where the Jets selected him, with that said I think he has a chance to have a break out season. He seems to fit Bowles' "Big Nickel" position to a tee.

Amaro was a good pick where he was taken. Some people had a 1st round grade on him in a very weak TE draft. If he stops dropping balls think he will be a good player. He at least upgrades the position which is OK for a second rounder. Don't think he will ever be a game changer, but will grow into a steady player.

The mid round WR's. not really impressed with any of them. We'll see if one of them can step up. Dozier I was happy to see the Jets take, but was very disappointed he didn't get any reps as bad as the G situation was. I'm hoping he steps up and makes an impact this year. Could happen.

McDougle we'll have to wait and see what happens. He looked OK in early camp, but where he was taken was a bad spot. Had a 5th round grade on him, and hadn't played the year before. Now he hasn't played in 2 years. With all the FA CB's the Jets signed it is going to be a steep uphill battle for him. I wish him luck, but I think he will have to make a big statement. If the Jets draft a CB, he might be on the outside looking in.

IK has some upside. Sure hope Bowles can get some production out of him. Reilly actually surprised me last year. Played ST's very well, and was very steady when he was in on D. Think the guy might be around the league for awhile.

All in all a weak draft. It was the height of incompetence waiting till the 4th round to take a WR, for a WR needy team, in one of the richest WR draft's in memory. Wish the Jets had those 12 draft picks this year.

I was suprised with Reilly's play, and he did play very well on special teams.

Speaking of Evans, what exactly was his injury last year? I remember reading somewhere it was a shoulder, but don't recall if he had surgery or not. At the time, I thought it might be another of Idzik's red-shirt situations.

The way he caught the ball in practice I thought it was 2 broken hands, but it was a shoulder injury.

Pretty funny. That's all I recall though, so did he have surgery or was it a separation type thing that they felt the surgery wasn't necessary. I guess it doesn't really matter if he can't catch the ball. I also remember Evans not being available for rookie camp, having some soft tissue problems when he got to camp, and generally having a lot issues adjusting to the pros (not catching the ball). In a nutshell, he wasn't ready and I thought because of that he was shelved by Idzik. Plus maybe he felt he couldn't cut his first 2 WR picks in a WR-rich draft. Maybe he felt that he would have been picked up off waivers and wouldn't have made it practice squad. I won't pretend to know what Idzik was thinking, but it sure would be interesting to find out.

Overall .... Aside from Pryor & Amaro .... we shit the bed on tis draft.

I think Amaro wil develop into a above average TE, but as far as Pryor goes he's a very limited in the box safety and he doesn't even excel at that. This is a guy that could be floating through FA wires in the next year or two.

And speaking of really crappy first round picks...

NE Cheating Scumbags

Beli the Genius reached wildly in the first round for Dominique Easley, a fourth round pick on most boards with two serious ACL injuries in college.

Shockingly he missed most of the 2014 with a third knee injury that sent him to the IR. Just about every medical professional felt he needed surgery again but not the eminent Dr Belichick, the Cheating Scumbags team orthopedist
who recommended the good old "rest cure.

As of now he is still resting and it is hoped he might be back for TC

So which pick was the better one, Melgrogan14, Aaron Pryor or that broken down bust?

You have to be joking? Unless "I LOVE BOTH PLAYERS" I'm clueless and Trolling? Sorry but there are many Jets fans that share my opinion of both Amaro and Pryor, are they trolling? If that's the case you shouldn't ever be allowed to use the term Clueless again unless the sentence starts with "I am".
