I am becoming a big fan of the Orioles -- at least for one more day. And thanks to Matt Williams for leaving Scherzer in for 120+ pitches until he gave up the HR to Machado.

Not hitting well, not pitching all that well, and losing series to the Marlins, Skanks and Braves. This team needs to wake the hell up.

Baseball is a weird sport. Trying harder is not necessarily better. You have to be relaxed and just play. These guys look a little tight to me, and Collins sounds tight when he speaks to the press. I think they are unfamiliar and uncomfortable with the favorite role. In the playoffs, they will be an underdog no matter who they face (Dodgers included), so I'm hoping they will play looser when the time comes. I think it will be a load off their shoulders when they clinch the division - which they will.

Mine too. And that is why I have hated Pete Rose since 1973.

Wow, me too! 1973 is when I really started to get into the Mets! I hated pete Rose and was so excited when they got Willie Mays, not realizing he was a shell of his former self. I take it we're all around the same age?
