Yet another poster with whom you have an issue.
I thought it was all my fault, and I was the instigator. Yet I see you in pissing matches with a whole slew of posters.
It is your fault. It's always yours.

I don't recall at any point ever saying the Jets have bragging rights over the Patriots.
Show me where I said that. Come on. Man up and show me where I EVER said the Jets had bragging rights over the Patriots.
if ifs & buts were candy & nuts we would all have a merry christmas..
week 17 wasn't a "hypothetical," it was a chance to go to the playoffs on a 6 game winning streak.. didn't happen because we lost to the bills.. again..
& what good are 10 wins if you already know you need 11??
BTW, i've already stated my position on ryan in this thread.. that's not "hypothetical" either..
WTH are you talking about? I don't have to man up about anything. Your argument of having "bragging rights" over the Bills is completely lame and I used the Patsies to illustrate my point. Honestly, where do you come up with this guff? It must be tough to be so angry and so desperately grasping at straws? The Jets f*cked themselves. They choked at the height of expectations. They illustrated for you first hand why so many call them the same ole Jets. BTW, it's not me you should be angry at, it's the Jets. THEY let you down. I did nothing of the sort, merely pointed out what they did to me, you, and everybody else. Deal with it.
Jetgreen - I disagree. If I am the Bills and looking back at this season, I would say the Jets are the better team. It doesn't matter that they beat us twice. We played better over the course of the year
54, Elias 10 wins is better than 8.. we all understand that.. neither the jets or the bills made the playoffs.. we all understand that as well..in week 17, the bills were better than the jets. they also were better the prior time we played them.
but over a 16 game schedule, the 10-6 jets were better than the 8-8 bills.
Well, another way to look at this is, if one of those 9-7 teams that made the play offs, went on a run and won the Super bowl, would the 10-6 jets still be the better team?
I agree with 13 here. Both the Bills and Jets are probably playing golf this week end instead of playing football. I'll bet if you asked Fitz or Marshall who is the better team the Jets or the Bills, they would reply along the lines of "who gives a shit, I still haven't been to the play offs"
The only purpose of the first 17 weeks of the NFL season is to get to the dance. The rest is a moot point. From a fans stand point, I enjoyed the season. The Jets won more games then they lost, but I really have a very hard time running victory laps because the Jets were 10-6 and the Bills were 8-8. They more then anyone were responsible for keeping the Jets from the dance.
i'll say again, miami & NE has nothing to do with my point.. bad teams split divisional games with good ones all the time..Agreed.
If you use the logic that the Bills are better than the Jets, then the Dolphins are as good as the Pats, since they split with them. They must be equal.
One team went 12-4, the other 6-10. But they were 1-1 against each other, so they are equal by that logic.

how about bad teams sweeping good teams in division??
& a broken clock is right twice a day..But you can't just exclude relevant arguments to your point.
And yes, bad teams do sometimes sweep good ones. In this case, I would argue the gap is not as huge as a bad team sweeping a good team. I would say it's a mediocre team sweeping a pretty good team.

what good is 10-6 when 11-5 is the goal??And again, record is more reflective of how good a team is than an outcome against one opponent.
Please, don't take my word for it. Take Bill Parcells'.
what good is 10-6 when 11-5 is the goal??
LOLz if i were a bills fan, i would wish a jets fan would try telling me they had the better season..
it wouldn't be pretty..
OK, now your all over the damn place..But 11-5 isn't the goal. Who said that was the goal? Is the only goal the playoffs? The Super Bowl?
And since when was the playoffs the only determination to a good season or not? I already showed flaws in that logic, based on either strong or weak conferences and divisions.
OK, now your all over the damn place..
of course 11-5 was the goal.. 11 wins would have been a playoff berth.. making the playoffs give a team a chance to reach the ultimate goal.. winning th super bowl..
this the NFL not pee wee football.. you don't get a cookie & a juice box for winning 10 games when the goal was 11..
based on your logic, the jets might have lost week 17 because they already had a "good" season, right?? you are what your record says you are.. who needs those silly old playoffs anyway..
see how long bowles keeps his job having "good" seasons without playoffs appearances/wins..
