Jets Draft Picks ?

Hyatt, Cy actually was doing well in the 40 ft dash till his dentures fell out, but this was at the Combine. His UNC Pro day is coming up and I am sure he will impress you Hyatt as soon as the ice packs come off from the 20 split shuttle. I've heard he is working out with Amari Cooper.

If Cy is drafted by the Jets those that think Amaro has potential will be disappointed. Cy will be a day one starter for sure.

Let's hope Gailey can find a way to play both of them and recreate what the Pats had with Gronk and Hernandez. I just pray that Cy doesn't follow in Hernandez' foot steps and doesn't let his temper get the best of him. He's known to lose it at times.

One is a pass catcher the other would be a run blocker, but which one? Think of the cost? Extra oxygen tanks, Ambulances, medical attendants (pretty ones).

I hope you guy's @ 61 are in half the shape I am. Yeah, I'm older and pudgier but @ 6'3"/268 (winter hibernation) I can still bench over 300 on a bar, how bout you guy's ? I still look 50, my younger wife is drop dead gorgeous, and I drive Porsche's. Life is good, but I'd like to see another Super Bowl victory. Yeah @ 16 I was the youngest Jet homer around, even back then. My whole life has been the J E T S > Jets...Jets...Jets !

Back to the draft, on Todd McShay's latest Mock 4 Draft, he has Cooper WR going to the Jags @ 3, and the Jets picking Randy Gregory OLB @ 6. I know we need a pass rusher, but I can't see Woody or Macc in his 1st draft taking that kind of risk. Gregory loves the herb, and he already has 1 strike against him for a failing the combine drug test. Does that make sense, since technically, he not in the NFL yet ? Good special on Shane Ray 6'3"/250 last night. If Cooper & Fowler are gone, I'd like Vic Beasley 6'2"/235 even though he's small for a 3-4 OLB, he's perfect for a 4-3 OLB.

Cy I agree with you all the way up to Beasley. Beasley as you said played at 6'2/235. He added extra weight for the Combine. My major concern is can Beasley maintain that extra weight throughout the dog days of pre-season. I would not mind Fowler or Cooper but I think they will be gone. I would prefer a trade down. Hopefully Cleveland will be in love with whoever is there a #6 and trade both there #1 's to us.

It seems as if every mock has either Mariota at #2 or the Jets passing on him and taking a pass rusher (Ray or Beasley)

So according to all the mocks there is no way we take Mariota and we definitely take OLB

HYATT™ is probably suited more to playing basketball - as the basketball.
He even dribbles a lot these days.
His oxygen tanks can cut-block with the best of them though, and he has heart, when it remembers to beat.
(Probably helps explain his preference for anything above room temperature with a detectible heartbeat.)

HYATT™ has been known to test drive a porsche or two at the dealership, once dated a few model-caliber women, (from the local escort services & strip clubs - rock & roll band duty does that sort of thing to you), & could have been a multi-millionaire if he would only have been smart or crass enough to leave his wife for the granddaughter heir to the Oscar Mayer fortune, who was stalking him.

Did anyone hear Kevin White's interview on Sirius NFL today ? He is very smart, hard working kid. If the Raiders were listening, he might move in front of Amari Cooper. I stereo typed this kid totally wrong, being a junior College transfer to WVU, only had 2 College offers, the dreadlocks, and the song on his video, I thought he was a punk, but I was wrong. Here's my revised top 5:
1) Cooper
2) Fowler
3) White
4) Beasley
5) Gregory or Dupree

Well another potential 1st round draft pick screws up ! P.J. Williams CB 6'/196 from Florida State has been arrested for DUI. Being considered a top CB in this years draft, it will be interesting to see if he now drops out of the 1st round.

The Sirius NFL guys said that he will not get a strike against him with the NFL in that he has not been drafted yet ? Then why is Randy Gregory OLB starting his NFL career with a strike ? He's still a college player who has not been drafted yet, so why does he have a strike, and has to enter the NFL re-hab program ? I assume it's because it was an sponsored by the NFL ?

To me, driving around drunk, is a lot more serious than smoking pot. Regardless, both Gregory & Williams have hurt their draft value with these bonehead decisions.

Based on Mel Kiper's latest mock today, i would be bummed out if we pick Brandon Scherff 6'5"/320 from Iowa. Game film does'nt lie, and if you watch the Maryland game during the season, or the Tennessee bowl game, Scherff got man handled by speed rushers in both games. A #6 pick as to be a sure franchise type pick, and I don't want an above average but not great OL @ 6. Maybe Jet management will fall in love with Kevin White WR after his visit today.
